My name is Casey… and I am addicted to Pinterest, but really, who isn’t at this point?? Anyway a little about me, I graduate from Cal State Fullerton in 2009 with my Bachelors in Sociology, which I love, but probably wasn’t the best choice in majors. I have worked in the retail world for the last 12 years and finally made my break out this last summer, into a nice Monday through Friday “normal” type office administration job. My husband was thrilled! Although it took some major adjustments, physically, mentally and emotionally it was SO WORTH IT! I finally have time to spend with my husband, our animals and do the things I had been putting off for years or just didn’t get to do or enjoy as much as I would have liked.
My husband Chris and I were just married in October of 2012 (10-11-12), although we have been together for almost 10 years. We are animal parents to 3 currently; a little pooch Wiley a black Terrier-Chihuahua mix, who can be a handful (more on him in a separate post), a fluff-ball fatty Calico named Kirby, and a Ball Python (yes a snake!) named Phillip (more on him later too).We are thinking about starting our human family soon and are definitely looking forward to that new adventure.
We live in California (go ahead, roll your eyes…), and although it may not be our top choices of places to live and raise a family, this is where we are. While I have a rather small (tiny even) family, my husband has a larger brood and that keeps us tied to where we are. I guess I can’t complain too much, the weather is great, our friends and family are close and we were able to afford to buy our first home (although how.. I still am not sure).
We both work, for now, and really hard at that. Chris is in the Oil Industry and man do they keep him busy. I promise to try to keep my gushing over him to a minimum, but he is constantly making me fall in love with him all over again. I just have a hard time not being amazed by him and all that he does for me and for our future together.
My sister, Brooke, just started her second semester at Chapman Law School and I couldn’t be more proud of her. Believe me… it wasn’t always an easy road with her and I and I am so lucky and happy to be able to say she is where she is now. She married her high school sweetheart Donovan and they have an feisty orange tabby-cat named Kalvin (think Snoop Dogg reference with this one). Donovan himself is pretty impressive, he was the Golf Pro at a beautiful course in Central California, Morro Bay, and just landed a new gig in So Cal in Whittier. He is on the road to greatness through the PGA school and lots of hard work. Go see him if you need lessons!
If that wasn’t enough of a run down of who I am and some of the major players in my life… I’m sure within the first few posts here you’ll find out more than you were ever expecting! But if you have questions, just shout!
